When we first began holding five daily prayers at IIC London in November 2025, we hoped people would come.
We didn’t expect this.

Week by week, more people started walking through the doors.
Familiar faces. New faces. Students, families, brothers and sisters looking for a place to pray, to reconnect, to belong.
And then came Jumu’ah. Ramadan.
Moments where the space filled up faster than we could prepare for.
It’s been a blessing.
But also… a wake-up call.
A Good Problem — But Still a Problem
Right now, we’re adjusting constantly.
Moving things around.
Making space where there isn’t much.
Trying to accommodate everyone as best as we can.
And alhamdulillah, people are patient.
But deep down, we know:
This isn’t how it should be.
A masjid should feel calm. Comfortable. Welcoming.
Not crowded. Not improvised.
The Bigger Realisation
This growth isn’t random.
It means something.
It means people are searching for connection.
For consistency.
For a place that feels like home.
And if they’re coming to IIC London…
Then we have a responsibility to meet that need properly.
So What Happens Next?
We’ve started planning the next phase of IIC London.
Not just to “fix problems” but to build something that can truly support the community going forward.
More space.
Better facilities.
A masjid that’s ready for both physical and digital engagement.
Learn More About the Project
We’ve put together a full breakdown of what needs to be done, including the plans, priorities, and how you can be part of it.
Final Thought
If you’ve ever stood shoulder to shoulder in prayer…
If you’ve ever needed a place like this…
Then you already understand why this matters.
